Women. May we know them, may we understand them and most of all may we respect them. Women in the everchanging business world have come a tremendous way and are evolving daily. Women in Business are intelligent, strong, and courageous. The Schaumburg Business Association hosts a Women in Business event series occurring four times a year focusing on various women centric developmental and intellectual topics, brought to us by speakers presented by Mid-West Moving & Storage / Chicago Office Movers. The success of this series led us to get thinking on how we can grow and expand this series focused on honoring and nurturing women in business.
Announcing, new to the Schaumburg Business Association, the Women in Business: A Fashion Showcase event. This will take place on Thursday, October 6th 2022 from 11:30am-1:30pm at the Chicago Marriot Schaumburg- Grand Marquis Tent, located at 50 North Martingale Road, in Schaumburg. This event has been designed to spend the afternoon amongst fellow empowering women as we raise money for charity, network, dine, enjoy the many raffles and take in looks modeled by everyday inspiring women.
When the committee began curating this event, they knew that we wanted to support charities supporting women. Partnerships were then created with Fellowship Housing & WINGS Program.
Fellowship Housing works tirelessly to help single moms build a new legacy for themselves and their families. Support is provided through a program that takes them from a safe and secure home for them and their children for 2 years, through counseling and financial skills development, to securing a permanent home.
WINGS Program provides victims of domestic violence and their children an escape rout and the support they need to rebuild their lives. Whether it is a safe place to stay or counseling and support, WINGS is there to help.
We deeply encourage that attendees participate in some of the following small ways outlined below.
Fellowship housing is searching for help in aiding their African American moms with hair care products.
Products List:
• Shampoo
• Conditioner
• Leave-In Repair
• Hair Mask
• Hair Pomade
• Hair Oil
• Curl Refresher
• Heat Brush

WINGs Program is asking for womens business professional clothing. All styles, shapes, and sizes!
Both nonprofits receive 25% of the revenue generated during a 50/50 raffle. Any donation in any of these ways can really add to ensure we are on our way to a successful event.
This extravagant afternoon will begin with networking amongst fellow attendees and supporting sponsors, plus display tables selling some wonderful items.
