LMJ’s Lost Souls – Alzheimer’s Fund is a local nonprofit organization driven by purpose, built from personal loss, and powered by a community of changemakers. Founded in honor of two beloved women—Laverne and Mary Jo (LMJ), who courageously battled Alzheimer’s Disease. LMJ’s Lost Souls is on a mission to support families, fund solutions, and fuel awareness in the fight against Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
As a proud member of the Schaumburg Business Association, LMJ’s Lost Souls stands as a voice for those affected and a beacon of hope for what’s possible when advocacy meets action.
Everything we do is grounded in five powerful pillars:
1. Fundraising – From our signature Golf to End ALZ to community-wide events like Baseball to End Alzheimer’s, we turn passion into purpose to generate vital support for Alzheimer’s care, research, and outreach.
2. Awareness – Through social media campaigns, local spotlights, and purple power in every post, we’re helping break the stigma around Alzheimer’s and remind people they’re not alone.
3. Education – Our team shares knowledge, lived experiences, and expert resources to help caregivers, families, and allies better understand this disease and how to navigate it.
4. Research & Development – We advocate for the advancement of treatments and potential cures by raising funds and directing attention to the need for investment in science and solutions through our donations into this field.
5. Resources for Support – Whether you’re a family member, caregiver, or someone newly diagnosed, we provide accessible tools, emotional guidance, and practical help for every stage of the journey.

This June, LMJ’s Lost Souls hosted its annual Go Purple to End Alzheimer’s Challenge, inviting individuals and organizations to wear purple daily, post on social media, and help amplify awareness for Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. The community responded with incredible energy, participation, and generosity—reminding us all that small daily actions lead to big collective impact. We also executed 3 major events in June including our 10th Annual Golf event of which is our biggest fundraiser of the year.
