AnytimeFitness Opens Virtual Workouts to Community

Anytime Fitness is offering Free VirtualWorkouts to the community

 

[Chesterton, IN4/6/2020] - Anytime Fitness is doing their part to help their local communities through these difficult times. Due to the recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and local government agencies, the clubs recently voluntarily closed down temporarily amid the coronavirus pandemic in effort to prevent the spread of the virus. To help the community stay active and stay positive, Anytime Fitness is offering FREE Virtual Team Workouts to all of the community via ZOOM.

“This situation is changing daily and we have to continuously pivot what we are doing. We feel for our members that can’t get into the gym, but we also feel for our community. The last few weeks have caused changes and disruptions in all of our lives. However, we recognize that there are certain actions that are necessary to help prevent the spread of this virus,” said Anytime Fitness Director of Operations Kevin Scott.  

The Free Virtual Workouts start Monday April 6, 2020. Monday through Friday, sessions will be offered at 6AM, 9AM, 11AM, 1PM, 3PM, 5PM, and 6PM. Saturdays sessions will be offered at 9AM, 10AM, and 11AM.  Even Sundays, there will be a 10AM session.These sessions will be full body workouts geared towards all levels. One to two certified personal trainers will be hosting these sessions and will provide modifications for those who need it. All workouts will be done with body weight or minimal weight with household items such as milk jugs or gym bags.

On top of the team training sessions, Anytime Fitness will also host Nutrition Seminars, Stretching workouts, and even a Yoga class. The Nutrition and Stretching Seminars will be held in the Anytime Fitness Together We Rise Private Facebook Group. If you are interested, Anytime Fitness asks you reques to join that group to few those sessions. Nutrition seminars will be held at noon on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Also available in the Facebook group will be the Stretching sessions held at 11AM Sunday and Tuesday at 12PM. To capit off, on Sundays there will be a Yoga Session at 9AM.

“The physical health and the mental health of everyone in our community is very important to us,” Scott said. “We are very aware of the guidelines set by our states and want everyone to do their part in stopping the spread of the virus. However, we know how important exercise is for not only your physical health, but also your mental health and your immune system,” Scott said. “This is why all of these workouts can be done at home and are geared to get you moving. No matter what your skill level or fitness level, our Coaches will be providing progressions and regressions.”

Anytime Fitness has long been known as a convenience gym, but within recent years, they have changed into a true coaching facility. They offer TEAM training, Small Group Training, and also one-on-one training. Even going outside the walls, Anytime Fitness even offers Virtual Coaching via the Anytime Fitness App. Through the changes, Anytime Fitness has always remained asupportive community to its members. Together, 9 Anytime Fitness clubs including the locations in Indiana: La Porte, Michigan City, Merrillville West, Merrillville East, Munster, and the following in Illinois: Frankfort, Lemont, Schaumburg will be offering the Free Virtual Team Workouts to the communities affected by this pandemic.

“We knew we had to do something to help those who needed our help,” said Scott.“There are so many people that are following the stay at home guidelines, but are still looking for effective ways to stay active and on track with their goals. We know their goals didn’t go away at this time, so we are working with our current training clients virtually with one on one attention. To the rest of the community, we wanted to let them know we are here for them with any questions they may have!”  

In an effort to help keep things as normal as possible for all of the individuals we employ, we will be supporting our staff who help us achieve our mission each day during this closure. Their employees have been able to keep their hours during this uncertain time. Clubs are deep cleaning, taking webinars and online learning, and participating in team building activities to better serve their members once the clubs doors open back up.

The Free Virtual Workouts are being offered on ZOOM as well as on the Anytime Fitness Together We Rise Facebook Group.
