I am truly honored to serve as the Schaumburg Business Association Chairperson for 2013. I am humbled, and also inspired, by the dedication and talent of my predecessors as well as that of the tireless staff and volunteers of this organization.
We are looking forward to a year of great success in 2013 for the SBA and its members. On my own, I can say that I have benefitted both professionally and personally, from my involvement with the SBA during these past 10 years. The organization is much more than a group of businesses searching for a connection; it is truly a dynamic and unique community. They understand that networking takes a personal commitment if they hope to generate long-term business.
As we look forward to another year of networking, we are already working on our signature events like the Golf Outing, Toast of Schaumburg, Wine Tasting and the Expo. This year it is our goal to make quality connections for businesses throughout the Schaumburg area. In addition, our own members and some outside guests will be leading luncheons with some ongoing training and education on how to build your book of business and expand your marketing efforts.
For those who are considering joining let me add that the SBA gives you visibility, numerous networking opportunities, low-cost advertising opportunities and access to a variety of companies in which cold-calling would never work. What better way to add clients than through a strong networking support group such as the SBA.
I encourage all of you to take advantage of the SBA’s events so you can make 2013 the best year for your business!
